Face the Facts Yet Rejoice

1. Christianity has decreased in Europe and is now doing so in America.

It already happened in Christian Europe. Now our universities in the US have been infiltrated by Marxist and haters of America and a generation of Americans either hate our country or do not understand the founding principles of our country.

America as it was founded cannot stand without commitment to Christian principles. It was openly founded on them. True freedom and democracy cannot exist in a people without truth, honesty, and love in their hearts. Christianity brings that to the hearts of people.

Look at the downward trend in the majority of churches. All denominations are in a decrease in this country, including the Southern Baptist Convention. That has been true for over half a century.

I know many, if not the preponderance of Southern Baptist Churches, do not have accurate figures on membership because they carry many people who have moved (or died). Why? It is because of our carrying members until we get a letter from another church asking for a transfer. This causes people who have died to be on our church rolls. The other reason is we elect a non-salaried member to be the Church Clerk. They don't have time to keep up with everyone who is a non-attender. That's not the Clerk's job as a volunteer. They just are data entry and date removal people as they are informed.

The point being is this: The truth of decline in The Southern Baptist Convention, and in your church, is worse than reported.

2. These Declines in the number of Christians in the World Has a Bright Side

First, Jesus hinted in Scripture that few people who had faith would be on Earth at His Coming:

I tell you that he will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” (Luke 18:8 CSB)

Most common teachings on the End-Times are wrong. That’s indicated by the several different ideas about the timing of the appearance of Jesus and the timing of the Rapture. The Bible is very clear about it yet there is no consensus about the time of the Rapture.

There is also confusion about "The End Time." It is being confused with "the time of the end" mentioned in Daniel. The End Time began when Jesus ascended to Heaven and the Christian Era began. The "time of the End," mentioned in Daniel, is the tail end of "The End Time."

Confusion is not the work of the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us when the Rapture will take place in the sequence of events of the Second Coming. It will be two weeks into the Battle of Armageddon. Are you asking how I know it will be two weeks? One must be diligent in ascertaining how to know it will be two weeks. It's all really in the Bible--but it's encrypted (Read this online book to learn about this matter: https://www.boblewisministries.org/end-times.

At the Second Coming, Jesus will come as He went, with the clouds over the Mount of Olives. It is very clear in the Gospels that He will come in the same manner.

Here is a description of the highlights of His Second Coming:

16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are still alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 CSB).

We learn in other books of the Bible that this will happen at the Last Battle of Armageddon. And notice that the Bible clearly teaches that the dead in Christ be Raptured first--before those who remain and are living. The living followers of Christ have to wait a bit—but not years. Probably only minutes. The living saints will be changed into their new bodies and be Raptured. It happens rather quickly.

Believe me, the rapture of the saints will not be in secret. The people left behind, who belong to Satan, will be wetting their pants and moaning. How tragic for them.

3. The USA will continue its drift away from the principles of the Founding Fathers of our nation.

We are watching this process now. It has been going on since the late 1960s. We are like the proverbial frog in a kettle, where the frog, for the reason of being a cold-blooded reptile, slowly cooks when put in a kettle of cold water with a fire under it.

Old People like me have been a witness to this decline in national faith in God and His Son Jesus. Yet at the same time, the USA has played the role of Ephraim, who has been the leader in establishing Israel as a modern nation and in defending Israel.

For I will bend Judah as My bow, I will fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece; And I will make you like a warrior’s sword. (Zechariah 9:13 NASB)

4. Jesus will descend to the Mount of Olives just as He left earth and there is a strong possibility that He will do it in my lifetime.

The time of the Gentiles refers to the time that the Gentiles controlled Mount Moriah, where the Temple of God was located. The nation of Israel got hegemony or national control of that area located in the West Bank in a war with Jordan—the 6 Day War. That date was June 6, 1967. This date is the most logical one for the end of the Biblical time period known as “The Time of the Gentiles.” The only logical deduction from Scripture is that "The Time of the Gentiles" refers to the time that Gentile nations had control--national hegemony--over Jerusalem and the Mountains of Moriah where the Temple had stood.

This date is important in determining when “the Time of the End,” mentioned in Daniel 12: begins:

8 I heard but did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”

9 He said, “Go on your way, Daniel, for the words are secret and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand. (Daniel 12:8-9 CSB)

If the time of the Gentile control of the Temple Mount ended at the end of the 6 Day War, June 6, 1967, then the only Biblical time period left is Daniel’s Time of the End. That means that any theory about the Rapture and the Second Coming developed before that date, June 6, 1967, is wrong. All the famous theories were developed before that date, so they cannot be totally right. Daniel's prophecies about the Time of the End were locked up before June 6, 1967.

Only one book about the End-Times that was published after June 6, 1967, is now free to read. It was self-published and distributed word of mouth and from church to church. The way it was spread and distributed sounds a little biblical. All true Prophets were called liars and were harassed and mistreated. Just like a bonified carrier of the Word of Truth the author of this book would be kicked out of most churches. Sounds like my kind of guy. ##

I have not answered a lot of your emails because I thought that I had closed my website. I just checked today and saw it was still in service. I'm so sorry I haven't been blogging and answering emails

People can be bored. Groups of people can be bored. Families, businesses, and, yes, church congregations can be bored. Are you--or your congregation--suffering from the plague--the curse--of boredom?

By Larry Clayton While putting together a book of readings recently, I ran across some old questions that have occupied scholars, theologians, believers, and probably even atheists over the centuries.
