Churches (and other Christian institutions and denominational agencies) have a tendency to become inwardly-focused. When that happens, the church develops blind-spots to themselves. They are blind to the areas of neglect as well as to the obvious weaknesses and areas of ineffectiveness. A set of new eyes and ears from an experienced pastor and church consultant can aid church leadership in becoming aware of these opportunities for improvement and/or correction.

You are acting like Jesus and being a disciple of His when you live a Christian life and then lead a person to salvation. That's the time to bring that person to "church," which is the assembly and fellowship of Jesus, and see that newly saved person baptized and taught to be a disciple. We have the honor of doing this with Jesus. And we can do it for them--the lost.
